I have 35 years’ experience working with non-profit organisations and small-circulation magazines in Canada and Britain.
From 1990-1996, I was editor-in-chief of Peace News, an international monthly based in London, England. It was during this time that I first discovered the power which electronic communications held for non-profit organisations. The internet was still in its infancy in the early 1990s, but as it grew, so did our ability to make full use of this very powerful medium.
Since spring 1996, I have worked part-time in Toronto as managing editor / office manager for Peace Magazine and manage a range of websites — for non-profit organisations and for individuals — from my home.
My websites are information-rich, with a pleasing and functional design accessible to all users (including non-English-speakers and the visually disabled) and are fully standards-compliant (that is, the underlying HTML code is clean and will work on a full range of platforms).
I can assist organisations in: activating webspace which you may already have as part of your existing internet package; obtaining a webspace and email package appropriate to your needs if you do not have one; registering domain names; and setting up additional email accounts as needed.
